Anthony’s Poem

You were big and strong and brave…

always made waves.

The eldest

led the way

Kept us safe

always at play

Mama and the spoons

sunny afternoons…

milk and cookies

always there

had to ‘tribute’

share.

Our childhood

not so bad,

they cared.

Grown now

grown apart

grown to middle age

always in my heart.

Never matter

the loves the same

we were there

we share an unbreakable bond.

We will always care.

Cousin,

you are still

big and strong and brave,

heart of a lion,

a hero just the same.
