whizzing by

while HUMANS wait

stand the faceless souls

day after day.

Curled up in corners

sleeping in a box

standing in lines

for a hot box.

Don’t look at them

don’t speak

walk faster

we have shopping to do

lunch is waiting.

Racing by

appeases the guilt?

Blame the lost

City lights shine
