when does it end?

Where are our values?
We went to the Moon
We are going to Mars
but it is dangerous
to go
to school
to work
to church
to Walmart…
We are Americans
we can do better
can’t we?
Look at the Country
we are passing
on to our children;
A dying planet
by our abuse,
violence everywhere
racism
sexism
poverty
homeless defecating
on the streets
children in cages
corruption in government
a failing education system
a middle class that cannot survive
and the list goes on.
We are Americans.
We can do better,
